Sovereign Bodies Sacred Futures celebrates the rich and diverse history of the fight for LGBTQIA2S+ Liberation. The exhibition features artworks by Queer/Trans Black and Indigenous People of Color (QTBIPOC) artists and allies that envision liberated futures, draw connections between intersectional and global struggles, and honor Queer/Trans ancestors.
By celebrating QTBIPOC narratives of joy and resistance, Sovereign Bodies Sacred Futures offers a powerful counter-narrative to the hateful rhetoric that is fueling the ongoing attack on the rights of Trans, Queer, immigrant, BIPOC and other targeted communities.
